Police Chase in Harrisonville

Yesterday at approximately 1515 hours, Harrisonville Police were involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle. The driver exited city limits and subsequently crashed in the area of 245th and Blinker Light before fleeing on foot. 

Despite the best efforts of the Harrisonville Police Department and the Cass County Sheriff's Office the subject was not captured at that time.

Officers applied for a search warrant on the vehicle and located a significant quantity of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

The investigation is on-going.

The Harrisonville Police Department is looking for Jesse Dean Fair on an active felony Probation/Parole no-bond warrant. Jesse should be considered dangerous and possibly armed.

Wilma Marie (Hammer) Dodds, age 97 of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Medicalodge Nursing Facility in Butler, Missouri. She was born October 16, 1921 to William Leonard Hammer and Rosa Henrietta (Bartz) Hammer in Prairie City, Missouri.

Wilma is survived by one son, Jerry Dodds (Donna); two daughters, Marylyn Engelhart (David) and Janice Humphrey (Mike), all of Butler, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Lori, Dana, Wade, Mindy, Chad, Jessie, Cody, Wyatt; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; her four sisters: Lucille, Ilene, Leola, and Betty; and her beloved husband, Eddie.
