KCP&L Power Outage Update 8:25pm

OUTAGE UPDATE - Crews have been working since this morning to restore more than 66,000 customers who were left without power after severe weather came through the metro area.

Crews are still working to restore power to the fewer than 2,000 customers still out.

However, because of damage from tree limbs and wind, restoration work is slower than normal.

Each repair is only able to restore a few customers at a time. Because of this, we estimate to have everyone back on by noon tomorrow, June 22.
