Bates County Local Emergency Planning Committee

On August 1, 2019, the Bates County LEPC received a check for $1,500.00 from Enbridge, Inc. through their Safe Community Program. Since launch in 2002,  Enbridge, Inc. has presented over $10.6 million to help equip and train 1st responders in areas that have Enbridge, Inc. facilities.

The grant will be utilized by the LEPC to train responders in Bates County to the Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations level.

We appreciate the commitment by Enbridge, Inc. to the safety and knowledge of area 1st. responders and welcome them as a partner.

Butler Police Department warn of phone scam!

ATTENTION:
The Police Department has been made aware that our 660-679-6131 phone number has been copied by scammers. 
If you receive a call from our 6131 phone number in regards to your vehicle being found in Texas and/or social security. IT IS A SCAM AND IT IS NOT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
We have been made aware of 4 scam calls, one came from 660-679-6131, the other 3 came from different numbers. Please make your elderly friends and family aware of this issue, DO NOT give out personal information over the phone!
We try to make everyone aware with these scams, but we need help with word of mouth as well. Please pass this along.

WANTED PERSON -- The Henry County Sheriff's Office is currently looking for a white / male subject, in his late teens / early 20's, for questioning in connection with a stealing investigation, as well as possession of controlled substances.

Subject was last seen this morning (on foot) in the 100 block of SE Hwy Z, wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

If you observe a subject matching this description in the area, do not approach and please contact Henry County Central Communications @ (660) 885-5587 to report his current location.

**UPDATED INFORMATION** 08/01/2019 @ 12:25 am. Subject detained in St. Clair County who matched description of wanted person, upon further investigation, was determined not to be the person wanted earlier in connection with stealing and controlled substances investigation......SUBJECT STILL @ LARGE.
