Appleton City High School Blood Drive

We will never forget!

In a matter of minutes, an event occurred on this day two years ago that shook our city to its core. To this day, everyday, we do not forget about Officer Gary Michael. But on this day, we are reminded of the sacrifice he gave to protect our city from evil.

We are reminded of the sacrifice that all of our brothers in blue make daily, combating an evil that continues to grow.

We are reminded that out of tragedy, good will always conquer evil. Never forget 321. - Courtesy of the Clinton Police Department

Way to go!

The Cass County Sheriff's Office would like to Congratulations to the latest graduates from the 40-hour 911 Peer Support training with Dr. Jennifer Prohaska’s team of public safety specific psychologists.

Graduates join MARC’s roving 911 Peer Support Team of 46 members, which is featured in several magazines as the national 911 wellness program model.

They stand ready to help fellow 911 dispatchers in times of personal and/or professional crisis. Cass County is proud to have one of our own join the team. Congratulations Megan!

Belton Police Department Update!

It has come to our attention that some media outlets have reported that the fatality crash from last night involved a hit and run driver. This is not the case. The driver involved in the crash pulled over immediately and called 911.

The driver has cooperated with our department during the investigation. In addition, the identity of the pedestrian has been determined but is not being released pending notification of next of kin. - Courtesy of the Belton Police Department

Hume Community News 8/6/2019

The Community of Hume would like to extend their sympathy to the family of Marion Cannon. He was a wonderful family man and he loved them all very much. We all have memories of Marion. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The 2019 Hume Fair is in the books. We ended up having some great weather, the arena was a little muddy! We had some special visitors from Hume, IL who wished to visit their sister city. Three ladies, Joni, Becky and Sue Ann traveled to Hume to participate in the Hume Fire Dept. 5k and enjoy the Hume Fair. They were wonderful ladies and we had a great time with them. Hopefully some of us can return to the visit sometime.

Congratulations to Rodeo Queen Dalton Hess and to Prince Beau Lidtke and Princess Baileigh Rogers. All of the royalty candidates did a great job and we are proud of each and every one of them.

The 78th Annual Hume Fair will be held July 28 through August 1, looking forward to seeing you all next year!!!
2019 Hume Rodeo Queen Dalton Hess
Baileigh Rogers would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who bought tickets and supported her for the 2019 Hume Fair Princess. She sold over $2400 worth of tickets. Baileigh is the daughter of Josh and Heather Rogers of Hume.

Showers and Thunderstorms to Continue Through the weekend

Dry conditions today will give way to increasing chances for showers and storms early Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately, rain and storm chances will continue through the weekend as an unsettled weather pattern develops over the central U.S.
