Enough of the scams already!
Bates County Memorial Hospital has learned of a possible phone scam in the community, and advises residents to be aware. The scam phone call may display Bates County Memorial Hospital in the caller ID, but the call is not from the hospital.
If you receive a phone call that appears or claims to be from Bates County Memorial Hospital offering a credit card or a service to lower credit card interest, this is a scam. The hospital does not make telemarketing type calls to offer credit card services of any kind.

Yesterday a Deputy responded to 7th & Maple in Rich hill regarding juveniles throwing rocks at buildings. The reporting party told the deputy that there were 4 male juveniles throwing rocks at the buildings and he heard glass break. Once he heard the glass break he saw the juveniles run north.
The Deputy canvassed the area and found a broken window and a large rock inside a building located at 612 E Maple. He was unable to make contact with any juveniles in the area.

Butler Medicalodge Employee of the month
Congratulations to Shaunee Jestis who was chosen Butler Medicalodge Employee of the Month.
Shaunee is a CNA and has been with the Medicalodges family for a year. Shaunee chose to work at Medicalodges because she loves helping others.
She says the best thing at Medicalodges Butler is the nursing staff. She loves to make people laugh.
When she's not working, Shaunee loves kayaking, swimming and makes sure she drinks plenty of water.
A word of advice to her fellow coworkers -
