Obituary - Stacey B. Walters

Stacey B. Walters, 52, of Clinton, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1967 in Rexburg, Idaho, the son of David Z. Walters and Charlene (Bowen) Walters. He married Alayne Oppio and she preceded him in death in 2011.

He worked with his father at Walters Ready Mix as a bookkeeper. He was also a self employed home builder. Stacey was also a talented and accomplished woodworker. He proudly served his country with the Idaho Army National Guard. Stacey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving are two daughters, Ashley L. Starkey and husband Jeff, Lucas, Kansas and Nichole Criswell and husband Bobby, Elk City, Oklahoma; one son, Levi Walters, Clinton, MO; five grandchildren, Hagan Starkey, Colyn Starkey, Lauren Starkey, Ralph Starkey and Greyson Criswell; his parents, David and Charlene Walters, Rexburg, ID; four brothers, James Walters and wife Amber, Driggs, ID, Douglas Walters and wife Leigh, Sun Valley,ID, Michael Walters and wife Stephanie, Driggs, ID and John H. Walters, Rexburg, ID; one sister, Lori Holden and husband Shane, Idaho Falls, ID; the mother of his daughters, Amy Lohoefener, Colby, KS; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew, Tyler Walters.

Graveside services are planned for a later date in the Rexburg Cemetery, Rexburg, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.


Obituary - William Neal Johnson IV

William Neal Johnson IV, 44, died unexpectedly in a workplace accident on Friday, August 9, 2019 at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Harrisonville, MO.

William (Billy) was born on January 12, 1975 in Ft. Hood, TX. Upon graduating high school in Clinton, MO, he joined the Coast Guard where he learned the skills to be an electrician. He was stationed in Puerto Rico and Cape Cod. For the past several years he was doing what he loved, working as an Electrician. He was also a part of Dance Champs for many years, eventually becoming their Production Manager. Billy’s favorite pastime was hunting and fishing with his Uncle Tom and cousin Wyatt. He loved football season and was a diehard Chiefs fan. Billy loved the Lord and his church family too. Billy always put others needs before his own and will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

He is survived by his brothers Michael Johnson, Jefferson City, MO, and Stephen Johnson, (Kelly) Maricopa, AZ; Uncle Tom Bledsoe (Michelle); Uncle Rick Bledsoe (Patty); Uncle Rod Bledsoe (Carla); Aunt Pam Schulfer (Jack); Aunt Beverly Wooldridge (Ron); Cousins Jennifer Roberts, Kimberly Johnson, Jared Johnson, Keri Spurgeon Barker, Amy Spurgeon, Cayla Bledsoe, Becky Nickels, Rachel Myers, Tina Johnson and several friends which he considered his family too.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Deborah Joette Johnson and Father, William Neal Johnson III.

Services will be held on Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at 11 AM at Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. Second, Clinton, MO 64735.

Obituary - Shelly Rae Keller

Shelly Rae Keller, 50, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Monday evening, August 12, 2019 at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

She was born March 2, 1969 in Clinton, MO, the daughter of Betty June (Armstrong) Steward. She married John Thomas Keller on November 26, 1997 in Clinton, MO. He survives of the home. She worked for Tyson Foods and later Rival Manufacturing.

In addition to her husband, surviving are four sons, John Johnson, Gary Johnson, James Johnson and John Thomas Keller, Jr.; one daughter, Megan; one sister, Robin Hankins, her aunt, Francis Elliott, a nephew, Bobby Elliott and niece, Becky Elliott.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.

Kansas City man arrested in Bates County

On 8/17/19 around 8:44pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 31 year old Daniel S. Drummond of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Drummond was arrested for 1.)Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Failure to drive of the right half of the roadway.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and placed on a 12 hour detox hold.

Adrian man injured in Camden County motorcycle crash

On 8/18/19 around 12:20pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Camden County responded to a one vehicle motorcycle crash on Route TT at Three Oaks Drive in rural Camden County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2003 Yamaha V-Star driven by 50 year old Phillip E. Keating of Adrian, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway overturning and ejecting Mr. Keating from the bike.

Phillip E. Keating sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri for treatment.

The bike was removed by the family.

Three from Vernon County injured in Southeast Missouri Motorcycle Crash

On 8/17/19 around 10:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Mississippi County responded to a two vehicle motorcycle crash on Missouri State Highway 77 around 17 miles southeast of Charleston, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2019 Indian Roadmaster motorcycle driven by 55 year old Everett E. Jenkins of Nevada, Missouri hit a deer in the roadway then his bike was struck by a 2008 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle driven by 53 year old John E. Jenkins of Richards, Missouri.

Everett E. Jenkins along with a passenger on his bike 54 year old Sherry L. Jenkins both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for treatment.

John E. Jenkins sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri for treatment.

Both bikes received minor injuries and was towed from the scene of the accident by JSH.







Harrisonville Youth Football backing the blue!




Our Saturday gets even better. We learned that the Harrisonville Youth Football league wanted to incorporate the thin blue line into their uniforms this year to show support for local law enforcement.
