There will be a special Election on November 5th for voters who reside in the City of Butler and voters who reside in the Adrian R-3 School District.
Regarding the 2020 Elections for voters in the Hume Precinct, the polling location will be moved from the Hume Community Center to the Hume Legion Hall at 9355 SW lst Street in Hume. If you have any questions please contact us at 660-679-3371.

St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 11 arrests and took a stealing report during the week of Sept. 2-9, 2019.

Obituary - Troy David Burton
Funeral services for Troy Burton will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri.
Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri. Contributions to House of Hound. Online condolences, www.schowengerdtchapel.com.
Troy David Burton, age 97 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Butler Center in Butler, Missouri. He was born February 26, 1922 to Willis and Maude Harper Burton in Appleton City, Missouri.
Troy is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Burton and wife Carole of Clinton, Missouri and Anthony “Tony” Dennis Burton of Butler, Missouri; four daughters, Antoinette Catherine Young and husband Stephen of Springfield, Missouri, Beverly Christine Parrish and Jacqueline Denice Burton, both of Butler, Missouri and Sherie Lynn Adams and husband Glenn of Springfield, Missouri; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carlene Ellen Ferguson; two brothers and one sister.

Two arrested in Cedar County
On Sept. 2nd, 2019 the Sheriff’s Office took a report of trespassing, property damage, and theft of Walnut logs.
On 9/6/2019 following an investigation by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Dept. of Conservation, and the landowner, Brian Queen 48 and Shawn Hunt 41 were arrested and charged with 1st degree property damage and felony stealing. Both are currently being held in Cedar County jail on $10,000 bond.
It should be remembered that a charge is merely an accusation and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
