State Farm of Butler Student Athlete of the Week

State Farm of Butler is excited to announce our student athlete of the week! His name is Clifton Bridgewater and he is a junior and is on the varsity Rich Hill football team.

Clifton's coach Eric Moles nominated him. In his last game against the state-ranked Drexel Bobcats, Clifton rushed for a season-high of 257 yards while scoring 4 touchdowns. He also had a total of 10 tackles, including 3 tackles for loss.

He stated Clifton "is a hard worker and solid student in the classroom". When we asked Clifton to describe what it takes to become an elite athlete he stated "it takes hard work and your team trusting you.

You have to have the trust of your team when it comes down to big game situations to succeed." We want to congratulate Clifton and wish him the best of luck!

Pictured below from left to right: Lynn Goddard from State Farm, Katesa Hocker Wyatt's mom, and Kellie Davidson State Farm Agent.

State Farm in Butler was privileged to partner with Wyatt's Warriors in the month of September for our quotes for good campaign.

Wyatt was diagnosed with DIPG, an inoperable brain tumor, and bravely fought cancer with tremendous strength and grace.

Wyatt's Warriors is dedicated to helping find a cure for childhood cancer. We would like to share some facts about childhood cancer.

1. Your chances of winning the lottery are 1 in 175,000,000.Your chances of your child getting cancer are 1 in 285.

2. DIPG is a fatal brain tumor, the worst brain tumor inexistence. 90% affected will survive no longer than 18 months and most will pass within 9 months.

3. All pediatric cancers combined receive only 4% of national funding Kids deserve more than 4. We can and should do better!

We hope to help in raising awareness about childhood cancer and the battle these kids and their families face each and every day.

Thank you again for letting us work for such an amazing cause!
