Bates County Sheriff's Office Beards for Kids Program

Its that time of year again. Our Deputies and area law enforcement have kicked off our Beards for Kids Program. Each year deputies raise money and are allowed to grow beards.

The money they raise goes to the Sheriff's Community Benefit Fund and is used by the Deputies in December to take under-privileged children from our community Christmas shopping. Each year the number of children served has doubled in size.

So watch out for those Deputies and if you see them unshaven drop them a $5 or $10 bill. Heck if your feeling great drop them $100 bill for the fun of it!

We have also teamed up with Jackwagon BBQ and you can pre-order a $20 rack of ribs for the November 18th Chiefs game and 100% of the profit goes to the Sheriff's Community Benefit Fund to support the children of our community.

From the Benton County Sheriff's Office

This is Hunter Osborne. We'd love to speak to him. If you should see him or know of his whereabouts, please contact Benton County Dispatch right away at (660) 438-9555.

Hunter, if you're reading this, we'll meet you at the Sheriff's Office to discuss what you did over some leftover Halloween candy like adults.
