Coy Michael “Mike” Carter, 69, Harrisonville, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, November 13, 2019 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 1:00-2:00. 

Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville Animal Shelter.

Jack Kimble Peterie, age 72 of Butler, Missouri died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. He was born September 27, 1947 to O.O. "Jack" and Tressie Pearl Bruce Peterie in Appleton City, Missouri.

Jack is survived by special cousins, Marcella Embry of Greenwood, Missouri and Joyce Hollis of Appleton City, Missouri; great-nieces; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Joan Sprinkel.

Deepwater man injured in St. Clair County Crash

On 11/12/19 around 9:25pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County and El Dorado Springs Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 82 Highway around 5 miles east of El Dorado Springs, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2007 Chevrolet driven by 57 year old Jerald Nicholas of Deepwater, Missouri lost control on slick roadways and stuck a tree before coming to rest.

Mr. Nicholas sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported to Citizen's Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

The vehicle received extensive damages and it was towed from the scene of the accident by Bray's Tow.
