Updated Obituary - Stephanie M. Robbins

Stephanie M. Robbins, age 32, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

A Visitation Service will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 with a Celebration of Life Service following at 11:00 a.m. at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. 

A private family burial will be held following services. Please wear casual attire. Stephanie would want everyone to feel comfortable and wearing their favorite colors. She was a lover of sports so if you would like to wear your favorite sports memorabilia please do so.

Stephanie was born on July 20, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Raymond C. Robbins and Denise (Hogard) Robbins. Growing up, Stephanie had two sisters, Kimberly and Renee. Stephanie was a graduate of Archbishop O'Hara High School where she was a two time All State volleyball player. After graduating high school, she pursued a very successful career as a nurse. With two bachelor’s degrees, one of nursing and the other of child and family studies, Stephanie worked at Children’s Mercy for the past five years. She loved her time spent specifically in the newborn intensive care unit. Stephanie also had an incredible love for canines, especially her own Diesel and Nova.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Suzanne Robbins; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Wilma Hogard; and dog, Diesel.

She leaves behind her loving parents, Denise and Raymond Robbins; two sisters, Kimberly Grantham (Ryan) and Renee Robbins; Multiple Uncles, Aunts, and cousins; two nieces, Abigail and Emery Grantham; and dog, Nova.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Great Plains SPCA Pet Adoption Center, 5424 Antioch Dr., Merriam, Kansas 66202 or METAvivor Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, Support and Awareness, 1783 Forest Drive #184 Annapolis, Maryland 21401.

Update Obituary - James “Jimmy” Lawrence Jacks

James “Jimmy” Lawrence Jacks, 53, Archie, MO passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO with visitation from 9:00-11:00. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Jacks Scholarship Fund c/o Adrian Bank.

Jimmy was born September 14, 1966 in Harrisonville, MO, a son of Howard Lawrence and Judith Ann (Meyer) Jacks. Jimmy was a 1985 graduate of Adrian High School and had received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. He married Lisa Anne Boucher on August 22, 1992 in Archie. Jimmy was a farmer and had also worked for Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceutical for 17 years and at Garmin for one year. He was a long-time area resident.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home; three sons, Ryan Jacks, Austin Jacks and Zane Jacks, all of Archie, MO; his parents, Larry and Judy Jacks, Archie, other relatives and friends.


Search warrant served in Belton



On 11-19-2019, the Belton Police Department’s Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the 100 block of E Pacific (a block from the middle school) which was obtained by the Investigations Division. The search yielded a large amount of suspected marijuana and marijuana byproducts. Charges in the case are pending laboratory results.

While medical marijuana has been legalized in Missouri, it can only be distributed by dispensaries licensed through the state. The state has yet to license any dispensaries for legal distribution. - Courtesy of the Belton Police Department

Medicalodges Butler is shining the spotlight on CNA, Cheyanne Hadley. Cheyanne has been part of the Medicalodge family for just 3 months but she has made an impact. 

Cheyanne chose to work at Medicalodges with plans to pursue a nursing career. 

If you ask her what the best thing about Medicalodges is she would tell you - of course, the residents! but also... Cora Smith, the Jazz Singer.

Miss Cheyanne has a 6 year old son Lucas, and a 2 year old son, Lincoln.

COMMUNICATION is the word of advice she would give to her coworkers! Communication is key!

White 2002 Ford F350 bearing MO, 7HR578, unknown direction of travel
Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Silver Person incident :

Last contact with Goehrig was on November 14th, at which time he made statements that indicated a possible altered mental state. Goehrig stated at that time that he was traveling to Montana via unknown routes. Family and friends have been unable to contact him since.
