Candidates should have at least 5 years experience, and P.O.S.T training/current certification is required prior to hiring, and able to pass background check. The position requirements will include all duties of a field officer in addition to reporting and management of the Police Department, prior supervisory skills is required. Employer paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance provided. Position is covered by LAGERS retirement system. Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.

The Hume After Prom 2020 is sponsoring a Mistletoe Market on Sunday, December 8 at the Hume School. The vendors participating will be able to start setting up at 8:00 a.m. The public will be able to do all their Holiday Shopping starting at 11:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. with local small businesses that are participating. A soup & chili luncheon will be served for a freewill donation. This will be a great opportunity to get some of your Christmas shopping done and support the Hume After Prom in who are working hard to raise money to put on the 2020 After Prom for the kids.
Santa Claus will be stopping by Hume on December 14 at the Hume Legion Hall. Be sure and check next week for a time.

Workers were busy over the weekend at Miami school...now that the new gym is mostly enclosed, it's down to everything inside, including plumbing, walls, wiring and flooring. Things are happening pretty fast, work on the new facility is expected to be done sometime after the first of the new year.
