BCMH Auxilary sale going on now

Just a few of our volunteers working the Auxiliary sale today - see some of the merch in stories! Modeling these dual-purpose winter hats are Doris and Barbara. The hat converts to a scarf and secures with a loop to stay around your neck and keep you warm. Just one of the unique items available at the gift shop’s biggest sale of the year.

The BCMH Auxiliary Gift Shop sale & open house is going on now! Draw for a discount on your entire purchase at the register, and don’t forget to enter the raffle (winner to be drawn on December 12). Our volunteers have created a charming Christmas market in the hospital lobby with free refreshments for all shoppers. Open until 5:00 pm!

The Butler police department got a special treat this week as members of the First Baptist Church youth group dropped off an assortment of cookies at the station-which were dutifully enjoyed.

No pun intended but we're guessing some brownie points are in order?!?

Obituary - Steven Bruce McNeely

Steven Bruce McNeely age 60, Urich, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Westwood Living Center, Clinton, Missouri surrounded by his family, after his short battle with cancer.

Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11am with visitation one hour prior at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.

The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to Golden Valley Hospice or to the Bruce McNeely Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Steven Bruce McNeely was born September 2, 1959 in Kansas City, Mo to Albert Dwight McNeely and Virginia Lee (Jones) McNeely. Bruce was born in Kansas City, Mo, moving to the area as a child, attending school at Davis R# 12 and Deepwater. At the age of 16, he dropped out of school to enter the work force, working at Rival Manufacturing, Cook Tractor, Sharp Bros, Pest Control, and Arm & Hammer. When he worked at Cook Tractor, he would come home for lunch, to wake his son Aaron from his nap so he wouldn't be cranky, and to play with him. Bruce liked to hunt and fish, and spend time with his family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Albert and May McNeely, and Amos and Anna May Jones, brother Ernie McNeely, sisters Anna May McNeely and Donna McNeely Baumgarden.

Bruce is survived by his life partner Pam Rice of Urich, Mo and their furbaby Suki, sons Aaron (Cheynne) Mc Neely, Eric (Cassie) McNeely all of Clinton, step son John (Misty) Rice, and step daughter Stacy Rice Clinton of Urich. He is survived by his brothers Richard Mathew McNeely of Clinton, and Bobby (Candy) McNeely of Urich, and sisters Darlene (Terry) Moore of Rogers, Ark. and Trudi McNeely Ross (Don Wear) of Clinton, grandchildren Savanna, Tucker, Mason, Bristol, and Linkoln McNeely, and Kiera Clinton and Jacob Stewart. Nieces and nephews Jennifer Baumgarden; Chance, Patrick, and Shane Moore; Dalyn Ross and Heather Ross Quick; Eric Carl, Megan, James, and Katie McNeely; and Kristy, Melissa, and Josie(Ernie's girls).

Bruce's wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes dispersed. Bruce was a very sweet and giving man, he never met someone who didn't like him, just like our father. The world has lost a creative and caring soul, he will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
