Shop with a cop in Butler

Last Night Bates County Sheriff Anderson along with some of his Deputies and Correction Officers made Christmas wishes come true for over 30 kids in Bates County.

Each child was able to go on a shopping spree at our local Wal-Mart. They were able to purchase gifts for their family members and for themselves. Every family also went home with a gift card to Yoss Thriftway that was provided to us by the Moulton Foundation.

None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for all ot the generous donations that was made to the Sheriff's Community Benefit Fund by everyone in our community who donated to Beards for Kids and Ribs for Kids and to the shoppers at Wal-Mart tonight who stopped and handed a Deputy cash.

The Moulton Foundation was also instrumental in making tonight a special occasion for the families by providing us with gift cards to Wal-Mart and Yoss's so the families could purchase food for their Christmas dinners.

Seeing the smiles on all the kids faces tonight was priceless. Merry Christmas to everyone in our wonderful community!
