Obituary - Charles E. Pendleton

Charles E. Pendleton age 90 of Garden City, Missouri departed this life Friday, January 10, 2020 at Redwood of Raymore, Raymore, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Masonic services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Interment with Military service will be in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Furnace Fire in Adrian

The Adrian Fire Department along with the Butler Fire Department and the electric company are on scene of a furnace fire in a basement of a address located at 131 W. Main Street around the area of Main Street and Mulberry Street in Adrian at this time.

Everyone is said to be out at this time and there is thick black smoke coming from the area.

Update: Rich Hill man injured in rollover accident

On 1/11/20 the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Route U just north of CR 7508 in rural Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1992 GMC Sierra driven by 20 year old Austin J. Renne of Rich Hill, Missouri lost control and traveled off the roadway overturning.

Mr. Renne sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and left roadway to be towed at a later time.

A semi truck is off the road way on I-49 at Mile marker 102.8 near the Nevada/ Camp Clark Exit.

Rollover accident near Rich Hill

First responders have been dispatched to the scene of a single car rollover accident on U highway northwest of Rich Hill. Injuries are being reported; more information will be posted as it becomes available.
