Harrisonville man with numerous warrants is in custody after fleeing from a vehicle stop on I-49 last night

Around 11:30 Wednesday night, January 22, deputies with the Criminal Apprehension Unit attempted to stop a black Ford Focus on southbound I-49 north of Harrisonville. 

After the vehicle slowed down and pulled to the shoulder the driver jumped from the moving vehicle and ran across the median to Peculiar Drive. 

Deputies were able to capture the subject after a short foot pursuit and take him into custody without further incident. A female passenger was arrested and released without charges while the investigation continues.
The driver, Adam S. Yohe, 26, Harrisonville, was booked into the Cass County Jail on 16 active warrants:

Tactical Team Arrest Rape Suspect In Cass County

Cass Co – A Harrisonville man was arrested around 11:45 pm on Tuesday night when the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team served a search warrant on a house in the 28000 block of E. 245th in rural Harrisonville. The search warrant is part of an ongoing sexual assault investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday January 21, 2020, Cass County Deputies were contacted by a female who reported that she had been sexual assaulted at a residence in the 28000 block of E. 245th in rural Harrisonville. Investigators secured a search warrant for the residence. The Sheriff’s Office Tactical Team executed the search warrant and located the suspect inside the residence.

Stephen A. Mattox, 54, Harrisonville was taken into custody without incident for active misdemeanor warrants in Cass County and Harrisonville.

On Wednesday the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office charged Stephen Mattox with Rape or Attempted Rape 1st Degree and Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy. His bond has been set at $50,000 Cash Only.

Mattox is currently in custody in the Cass County Jail on this warrant and three others:

Obituary - Judy Neoma Johnson

Judy Neoma Johnson Anders, 64, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2020, at St. Luke’s Plaza Hospital with family at her side. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Judy’s life at 11:00 am, on Monday, January 27, at the Park Lawn Chapel, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO. Committal services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.

Judy was born June 23, 1955, in Kansas City, MO, the youngest of three children of John and Neoma (Stewart) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Anders, Sr.; mother, Neoma Johnson; daughter, Tina Anders; and sister, Jewell Johnson.

Survivors include her father, John S. Johnson; sons, Danny Anders, Michael Davis Sr. (Samantha) of Nevada and Terry Anders (Christine Grace); brother, John E. Johnson; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Donald Keith Parker, age 74 of Hume, Missouri went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his home in Hume. He was born July 29, 1945 to Ever Ervin and Louise Henrietta Moellendorf Parker in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Keith is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gay Parker of Hume, Missouri; a son, Donnie Parker of Olathe, Kansas; one brother, Doug Parker of Nevada, Missouri; one sister, Donna Malippa and companion Ron Washam of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; and two granddaughters, Maggie Parker and Molly Parker, both of Olathe, Kansas; and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly Parker; four brothers, Kenneth, Lamar, Gordon and Logan; and three sisters, Marjorie Stevens, Rosie Ellison and Lana Parker.
