Not much warm up today

Happy Saturday! Today is National Kite Flying Day but it may be a little cool for that sort of thing (although normal for Feb 8) also the winds may be a little too light this morning. So, we'd tell you to go fly a kite but frankly, that sounds kind of rude!😂 #WhyIsThisInFebruary

It’s trivia time!

The 2nd annual Bates County Extension Council Trivia Night is just a little over a month away on March 7. This trophy will go home with the winning trivia team. So enter a team, be a sponsor for the evening, donate something for the Silent Auction, or do all three!  The money raised will go toward helping pay the costs of the 4-H Youth Program Associate position in Bates County. #BatesCo4H

Boil advisory remains in effect

A boil advisory for patrons of the Bates County 5 water district will remain in effect until the end of the day Tuesday Feb. 11th.

Important meeting for OVEC this week

OVEC Board and staff had the opportunity this week to meet with our state legislators.  We appreciate Representative Joe Runions,  Representative Donna Pfautsch, Representative Jack Bondon, Representative Patricia A. Pike, and Representative Rodger Reedy for always taking time hear the needs and concerns of our rural electric cooperative.
