BCMH Employee of the month for March 2020

Troy Trumbore is recognized as the Bates County Memorial Hospital Employee of the Month for March, 2020. Troy began his employment as a Registered Nurse in May, 1996 and currently works as the Emergency Department Supervisor. He is an excellent supervisor, who leads with honesty, integrity, passion and compassion. 

Troy has a vast amount of knowledge and skills in emergency medicine. 

He is dedicated to BCMH and his staff, providing coverage and availability as needed. The hospital is proud to honor Troy for this deserving recognition.

GVMH Announces March Staff Member of the Month



Clinton, Mo. – (Mar. 4, 2020) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased announce that Pam Kihn is the March staff member of the month.

Kihn has been an employee of GVMH since December 2018 and currently works as a health information management coding clerk.

Coworkers who nominated Kihn had the following to say about her: “Pam is a very positive individual who is always willing to help another team member. She routinely goes above and beyond in her patient interactions. Pam often assists patients and escorts them to their destination.”

“Pam is an employee who can be counted on to step up and assist when there is a need. Her peers consistently recognize her for going the extra mile.

Pam is not afraid to speak up when opportunities for improvement arise and always offers a solution.”

“Whether in person or via email, Pam is prompt when responding to communication. She always does her best to keep patients informed during her interactions with them.”

In addition to being named staff member of the month, Kihn received a flower bouquet, a $100 gift certificate and her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital. Kihn is also one of 12 finalists for the 2019-2020 staff member of the year award.



Vehicle fire in Cass County

The Cass County Sheriffs Office along with Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers are in route to a fully engulfed vehicle fire on I-49 southbound just south of Peculiar Way in Cass County.

All occupants of the vehicle are said to be out of the vehicle at this time and fire crews are on scene.

Please use caution if you must travel in this area and expect traffic delays!

Obituary - Frankie Kimbrough

Frankie Kimbrough, 78 of Drexel, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Missouri. 

A visitation will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (660-679-0009).

Jody Oliver, 36 of Drexel, Missouri passed away Monday, February 24, 2020. Cremation, with memorial services to be held 5:30 pm Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Cleveland Baptist Church, Cleveland, Missouri. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.

Jody D Oliver was born on December 13, 1983 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Alan Wheatley and Roxanne Oliver. Jody was joined in marriage to Brittany Barklow in 2017, two children were born to this union, Archer and Amy Oliver. He was also the loving father of Lance Oliver from his previous marriage. Jody worked hard for different construction jobs in his life, his passion was building things. 

He a had a charming smile and a contagious laugh that infected any who met him. His love for his children was unmatched by all and he will be sorely missed. 

He is survived by: wife Brittany Oliver, his children Lance, Archer, and Amy Oliver, mother Roxanne Oliver, father Alan Wheatley, brothers, Mike, and Alan, sister April, and many nieces and nephews.
