Fire Weather Watch For Saturday
While we will be looking a pleasant mid 60s day tomorrow, it won't be without its pitfalls. Winds will be gusting out of the south at 30 to 40 mph and with very dry conditions in place, that will lead to a high fire danger tomorrow. As such we have issued a Fire Weather Watch for tomorrow afternoon.
Partnership in Harrisonville
On May 22, 2019, several local business owners, managers and employees of the Harrisonville community came to the Harrisonville Police Department for a meet and greet with the Police Administration.
During the meeting most attendees brought up concerns regarding individuals who are homeless or vagrants and the effects those individuals are having on their businesses and our community as a whole.
In the months following that meeting the Harrisonville Police Department has taken several steps to form stronger relationships with area businesses in an effort to find a solution to handle these concerns.
To continue this partnership, the Harrisonville Police Department would like to invite business owners, managers and employees of the Harrisonville community to a follow up meeting at the Harrisonville Police Department on March 11th, 2020 at 6:00pm.
During this meeting, there will be a very short presentation regarding the Police Department’s steps taken to resolve some of the previous concerns. At the conclusion of that presentation, there will be a panel of Police Officials to answer questions and gather feedback.
