There have been questions as to whether or not Rich Hill city hall will be open tomorrow morning. As of right now, the city will be operating as normal tomorrow morning. 

We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments if needed. The deposit box outside of city hall can be used at any time.

Vernon County Schools Extending Spring Break

The Bronaugh R-7 and Sheldon R-8  and Nevada R-5 School Districts have announced they will be extending their Spring Breaks through Sunday, March 22nd in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.

With a lot of schools and businesses closing,
we are asking any clients/customers who have been sick or been exposed to a sickness in the last 48 hours, treated, face mask, or not we ask you to reschedule your appointments.

If we feel you are sick or been exposed we will ask you to leave and reschedule your appointment.

We are not doing this to be rude or mean but to look out for all our customers along with our employees. We have been disinfecting the entire building non-stop doing our best to control any sickness from being spread.

The health of my staff and customers is my number 1 priority at this time, since we have a large amount of customers in the older generation we are begging you to please respect these rules.
We do have the right to refuse any service.

Obituary - Debra Jan Burton

Debra Jan Burton, of Collins, Missouri was born December 27, 1956 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of William Wells and Mary Iona (Holland) Redmon. She departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 17 days.

Debra was a homemaker. Previously she was employed for Tracker Marine in Clinton, Missouri for 12 years and drove a Semi for FFE, Dallas, Texas. Debra loved to play pool, fish and spend time with her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Leamon Campbell.

Debra is survived by a brother, Gerald Wells, Harrisonville, Missouri; two sisters, Pauline Mason, Grandview, Missouri, Frankie Romi and husband Tom, Independence, Missouri; two daughters, Beverly J. Ogden and husband Willie and Mary L. Campbell all of Osceola, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Hailey, Spencer, Stachia, Megan and Taylor; 4 great-grandchildren, Raina, Renner, Owen and Khloee; a God-child, Tamika; a nephew who was like a son to her, Lindel Mason; several other nieces and nephews; significant other, Eric Kline, Humansville, Missouri; best friends, Myles Burton, Dave and Don; other relatives and many friends.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with cremation to follow.

COVID-19: Hume schools extend Spring break



From the Rich Hill R-IV School District

The Rich Hill R-IV School District will be closed on Monday, March 16 for further deep cleaning. 

All non-MSHSAA sanctioned meetings, events, and practices scheduled on school grounds are cancelled, now through Monday March 23.

Public Service Announcement from the Henry County Sheriffs Office

Starting Monday, March 16, 2020 Henry County Sheriffs Office main lobby will be closed to the public until further notice. The Bonding Hall door will still be available, but staff will be admitting only those that have a need to enter. 

Our medication drop off box will be in the Bonding Hall. Please look for signage to direct yourself accordingly. We ask that you call our office at 660-885-7300 for routine business matters. Of course, if you have an emergency you should always dial 9-1-1 first. This action is being taken to minimize the exposure our staff and facilities have to outside visitors. Sheriff Oberkrom
