Public Service Announcement from the Clinton Police Department

Starting Monday, March 16, 2020 Clinton Police Department main lobby will be closed to the public until further notice. We ask that you call our office at 660-885-2679 for routine matters during business hours.

After business hours, if non-emergency police assistance is needed, please call Central Dispatch at 660-885-5561.

Of course, if you have an emergency you should always dial 9-1-1 first. This action is being taken to minimize the exposure our staff and facilities have to outside visitors.

Another delay for McCoy murder case

A hearing to set a trial date has been rescheduled again for Samantha McCoy regarding the murder of her mother at the Butler city lake last May.

The new date has been set for April 20th at 10 a.m. in the Bates County Circuit Court.

Meanwhile, McCoy remains in custody in the Bates County jail with representation by public defender Jason Speer.
