Obituary - Beth Ann (Garrison) Howe
Beth Ann Howe, 58, Amsterdam, MO passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Beth was born April 9, 1961 in Concord, CA to Gerald and Catherine (Cilley) Garrison.
Beth attended College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, CA where she graduated in 1979. After one year of college, she joined the United States Navy where she spent 12 years in active duty retiring in 1992.
Following her military service, Beth resided in Amsterdam, MO where she managed a café and a flea market. She was also a caregiver to several family members and was known to be a selfless person, always putting others first.
Beth is survived by her son, Dan Howe (Tosha), Carl Junction, MO; her daughter, Brandi Howe, Amsterdam, MO; two grandchildren, Sara Howe and Addison Howe; one sister, Marge Ivey (Paul), Camdenton, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews. No funeral services are planned at this time.

Vernon County Fugitive From Most Wanted List Captured on Bicycle
A Schell City resident was taken into custody Monday evening by Vernon County Sheriff’s Detectives. According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, 26-year-old Jaimie Covey was placed on the Vernon County’s Most Wanted List after a Probation Violation warrant was issued.
“Detectives were conducting surveillance on a separate investigation when Covey was seen riding his bicycle down the street”. Covey was taken into custody and suspected methamphetamine was located during the arrest.
Covey is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail with no bond on a Probation Violation warrant on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
