From the desk of Missouri Governor Mike Parson

As a former Law Enforcement Officer for 22 years, I understand how important it is to remember our brave Officers who have fallen. And I am saddened that we will not have the “traditional” Law Enforcement Memorial ceremonies in 2020.

One of the names included on the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial’s wall of honor, is especially significant to me – a deputy who served under me while I was Sheriff of Polk County.

As a sign of respect, I have ordered that the Missouri State Capitol dome and the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial shine blue through Sunday night, May 3, in honor of all our law enforcement heroes who have paid the ultimate price.

Let us never forget.

- Missouri Governor Mike Parson
