4-H Week Spotlight: Case Doody

In honor of National 4-H week, we are highlighting local members

Hi! I’m Case Doody. I am starting my tenth year as a 4-H member with the Altona 4-H club. This past year has been one for the record books. I achieved my goal in the fall of 2019 of making the shotgun team to represent the state of Missouri at the National 4-H Shooting Competition in Grand Island, Nebraska. And then the Coronavirus hit. At first practices were postponed and then as the June competition drew nearer, practices were cancelled as was the National 4-H Shooting competition. On the bright side, I am lucky. I have one more year to try out. Wish me luck as try-outs begin in mid-October! If you have a hobby and you want to take it to the next level, you should join 4-H. 4-H is more than agricultural pursuits. There is literally something for everyone from shooting sports to technology to photography. You also get to meet a lot of fun people along the way.
