Adrian Bank COVID-19 Update:

The safety of our customers and employees is of utmost importance to Adrian Bank.

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in our communities, effective Monday, November 23, 2020 all Adrian Bank lobbies will be closed to walk in traffic. We will offer appointments if a customer needs enter the bank to conduct in person business (close a loan, access safe deposit box, open a new account, etc.).

Drive-thru banking will be available at all three Adrian Bank locations. As always, you can access your accounts 24 hours a day through online banking and through our mobile banking app. In addition, we recently added remote deposit capture to our portfolio of services. If you wish to learn more about remote deposit capture or want to sign up for it, visit our website at www.adrianbank.com. Click on the “Mobile Banking is Here!” tab and proceed to sign up for this product.

Business operations will continue as normal. We will still be available to answer any questions, or to assist with your lending needs. Please contact your loan officer if you need to discuss your current loan, a new loan, or to schedule an appointment to meet. Community First Bank COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the recent increase in local Covid-19 cases, Community First Bank will be closing all lobbies beginning Monday, November 23rd until further notice.

Appointments for lobby access can be made by calling each branch and scheduling that appointment while drive-thru hours will remain unchanged.

Obituary - Gene Ray Fry

Gene Ray Fry, 65, of Clinton, Missouri died Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home. He was born September 25, 1955 in Sedalia, Mo., the son of Claude F. Fry and Patricia Maxine (Shackles) Fry. Gene was employed for many years as a sales manager. He was a caregiver at heart, always taking care of people.

He cherished his time with his family. Surviving are two sons, Phillip Ray Fry and Angel Kauffman, Clinton, Mo., and Richard James Fry and his wife Kimberly, Independence, Mo.; one daughter, Jackie Ladean Price, Marshall, Mo.; his mother, Maxine Hall, Warsaw, Mo.; four grandchildren, Randall Price, Bryon Price, Devlyn Ray Fry and Alexandria Paige Fry; three sisters, Cindy Hawkins, Windsor, Mo., Vicki Denny, Sedalia, Mo., and Ronda Nienhueser, Sweet Springs, Mo.; former wife and mother of his children, Carolyn Freeman, Deepwater, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. 

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Pastor Tom Waller will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., just prior to the funeral service. Cremation will follow the service. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.


Miami to return to in person classes



Update: Fuel Spill cleaned up in Butler

Shortly before 4:00pm this afternoon the Butler Fire Department along Butler Police Police Department responded to a fuel spill around the area of Orange and Ohio Streets in Butler.

The crews cleaned up around 50 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled out of a semi truck. No one was injured in this incident and all the fuel was cleaned up.

Obituary - Aimee Breiner

Funeral services for Aimee Breiner will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Rosary services will be held 9:30 a.m., followed by visitation from 10-11:30 a.m. Monday at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler. Aimee Marcel Breiner, age 43 of Harrisonville, Missouri died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born December 23, 1976 to James Walter and Kathi Jeanne Alkire Daniel in Butler, Missouri.

Aimee is survived by her husband, Zack Breiner of Harrisonville, Missouri; one daughter, Carsyn Breiner of the home; her parents, Jim and Kathi Daniel of Butler, Missouri; parents-in-law, Mike and Kathy Breiner of Peculiar, Missouri; one brother, Jimmy Daniel and wife Jennifer of Harrisonville, Missouri; one sister, Brandi Daniel of Butler, Missouri; three uncles, Buddy Alkire and wife Lacey of Independence, Missouri and John Daniel and wife Judy and Alan Daniel, all of Butler, Missouri; three aunts, Anna Kay Weller and husband Pat of Evansville, Indiana and Fawn Alkire and Kathie Garren and husband Larry, all of Butler, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ross and Arleta Daniel; maternal grandparents, Bud and Anna Lou Alkire; one uncle, Neal Alkire; and one aunt, Vicki Daniel.

Obituary - Megan Dawn Norris

Megan Dawn Norris, 29 of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; formerly of Holden passed away Friday, November 13, 2020, near Holden, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Megan was born October 13, 1991 in Clinton, Missouri. She was raised in Holden, having attended Holden schools. In 2007, she moved to Butler, Missouri. Later, Megan moved to Oklahoma. She eventually returned to Lee’s Summit. Her hobbies included BBQ grilling and fishing with her brothers, Kevin and Ryan. She especially enjoyed time spent with her nieces, Katlyn and Peyton and nephew, Tristan. Megan was a huge animal lover.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather: Nancy Brown (Terry West) of Lee’s Summit, MO; three daughters: Hannah, Addyson and Nevaeh; paternal grandmother: LaDonna Gett of Oklahoma; three brothers: Kevin Pettorss of Lee’s Summit, MO; Ryan Carter of Belton, MO; and Gary Norris of Oklahoma; three sisters: Jessica Norris, Amber Norris and Crystal Norris, all of Oklahoma and her fur baby, Cardi. She was preceded in death by her father: James Norris; paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents: Erma and Marvin Brown.

No services are being scheduled at this time.

Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.

Memorial Contributions may be left to the Megan Dawn Norris memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
