The Vernon County Health Department has received notification of a public exposure related to a positive COVID-19 case. This exposure was on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at an event located inside Belles & Beaus Boutique in Nevada, MO.

If you were at this event between the times of 2:30pm-5:30pm we ask that you please monitor your health. If you develop any of the following signs or symptoms please contact your health care provider or local urgent care.

Sore Throat
Loss or change in your taste or smell

Foster man arrested in Bates County
On 11/30/20 around 11:16pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 34 year old William E. Swarens of Foster, Missouri.
Mr. Swarens was arrested for 1.) Felony possession of a controlled substance 2.)Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia 3.) Driving while suspended 4.) Lane violation.
He was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and later released.
