Ellett Memorial Hospital Employee of the Month is Nancy Snodgrass.  You will see Nancy in the Rural Health Clinic performing her duties.  She has the best skills around with accuracy and compassion.  Nancy treats everyone with respect from patients to co-workers.  She is willing to help out anywhere she can.  She is always on time, stays late and covers whenever needed. Nancy goes above and beyond and takes pride in her work.  Comments are:  she is the best!  Amazing, always upbeat and smiling, even with mask on!  She is always thinking of everyone else in her own selfless way. Nancy cares about this community and show it in many ways.  She has been with EMH since 1993 and we are blessed to have her.  Congratulations Nancy!

Vernon County Health Department notification of a public exposure related to a positive COVID-19 case

The Vernon County Health Department has received notification of a public exposure related to a positive COVID-19 case. This exposure was on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at an event located inside Belles & Beaus Boutique in Nevada, MO. 

If you were at this event between the times of 2:30pm-5:30pm we ask that you please monitor your health. If you develop any of the following signs or symptoms please contact your health care provider or local urgent care.

Symptoms of COVID-19:
Fever >/= 100.4
Feeling feverish
Chills
Body Aches
Runny nose or congestion
Sore Throat
Loss or change in your taste or smell
Headache
Fatigue
Cough
Wheezing
Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
Chest pain or abdominal pain
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

If you need to be seen please call ahead to your provider.
Remember to practice the 3 W’s…Watch your distance, wear your mask, and wash your hands frequently.

Foster man arrested in Bates County

On 11/30/20 around 11:16pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 34 year old William E. Swarens of Foster, Missouri.

Mr. Swarens was arrested for 1.) Felony possession of a controlled substance 2.)Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia 3.) Driving while suspended 4.) Lane violation.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and later released.

Echo Michelle Lloyd (aka Echo White Lloyd) has been missing from Benton County Missouri since Sunday, May 10th, 2020. Her vehicle and purse were still at her home, but she was nowhere to be found.
