Santa's coming sooner than you think...

Funeral services for Jody Baker, formerly of Butler, Missouri will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri.
Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, December 12 at the Schowengerdt Chapel.

Jody Bret Baker, age 61 of Mascoutah, Illinois died Monday, December 7, 2020 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois. He was born May 9, 1959 to Jack Conard and Nancy Lee Graham Baker in Butler, Missouri.
Jody is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Rose Lippi Baker of Mascoutah, Illinois; three sons, Reggie Baker of Belleville, Illinois, Riley Baker of Mascoutah, Illinois and Ryan Baker of Butler, Missouri; five daughters, Jasmine Baker and fiance’ Andrew of St. Louis, Missouri, Jade Baker of Mascoutah, Illinois, Janey Baker of Los Angeles, California and Jessica Baker and Janelle Baker; his parents, Jack and Nancy Baker of Butler, Missouri; brother, Jamie Baker and wife Kristi of Welch, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jacque Waite and husband Brian and Joni Duffield and friend Dennis Deel all of Butler, Missouri; several nephews and nieces including Rance Waite, Brianne Golladay, Tayler Waite, Bailey Shaffer, Corbin Duffield, Lexie Baker and Josh Baker; an uncle, Curtis Graham and wife Monina of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and an aunt, Debbie Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Bates County Sheriff Anderson would like to announce that members of the Bates County Sheriff's Office would like to provide several families with a Christmas dinner this year.
We know that the COVID Pandemic has affected many in our community so we are looking for anyone who may not have the means to purchase dinner this year. (these will not be a cooked prepared meal, you will have to cook it)

He is survived by a son, Kraig Lynn Hutchens, Belton, Missouri; a daughter, Harolene Baumgartner and husband, Brian, Basehor, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Hutchens, Basehor, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Broke Ellen and Amber Gail Baumgartner, Gage Silas Hutchens and Emmie Louise Hutchens, Kristina Nicole Hutchens, Skiler Dawn Foster and Courtney Marie Pierce; 5 great-grandchildren, Avery, Caroline, Quincy, Eloise and Reagan; three siblings, Alice Ballard, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Carolyn Combs, Pittsburg, Missouri and Marvin Hutchens, Warsaw, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

One vehicle accident on AA Highway northwest of Adrian
The Adrian Fire Department along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies are in route to a one vehicle accident on AA Highway and CR 4001 northwest of Adrian at this time.
One subject is unable to get out of a vehicle and is said to not be injured in this accident.
