Obituary - Mary K. Kidd
Mary K. Kidd, age 69, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 followed immediately by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083.
Mary was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 19, 1951 to Alfred and Betty Jane (Moody) Reid. After graduating high school Mary entered the work force and for most of her life was an account representative for Bussmann Fuse. She was married to John R. Kidd Jr. on March 31, 1990. In life Mary was blessed with three children, Bryan, Sandy, and Diana. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grandview and in earlier years loved traveling to NASCAR races. However, the love of Mary’s life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Betty Jane Reid, and her sister Jane McCrackin. She leaves behind her loving husband of 30 years, John R. Kidd Jr.; son Bryan Casey (Dena); two daughters, Sandy Gustafson (Ray) and Diana Kidd (Robert); two brothers, Travis Reid (Karen) and Ken Reid (Martha); grandchildren, Michael Casey, Rakshana Sundara ; and great grandchildren, Reagan Casey and Addie Casey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midwest Animal ResQ (MARQ), 10312 E. 63rd St., Raytown, Missouri 64133.

Obituary - Donna LaDeane Hicks
Donna LaDeane Hicks, age 69, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, January 30th, 2021. Memorial service will be Wednesday February 3rd, 2021 at 11 AM at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Donna was born Dec. 5th, 1951, in KCMO to Doris (Bronson-Hicks) Quick and Marvin Layfette Hicks (Deceased).
Donna enjoyed genealogy, sharing the gospel and feeding the Lords sheep. She earned her Associates degree in Paralegal Studies.
Donna was preceded in death by her father; 4 siblings; and her son, Steven.
Survivors include her mother, daughters Misty Minor and Rebecca (Becky) Price; sons Shawn McCarthy (Jesica), Rollin (Butch) Woizeski (Chasity), and Michael (Mickey) Woizeski (Grace); daughter in law Rungyan Minor; 24 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 5 brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant Mills Funeral Home, Clinton Missouri.

Fatality accident in Cass County
On 2/1/21 around 6:58pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 7 Highway at Thunder Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Chevrolet driven by 26 year old Stormey R. Stover of Clinton, Missouri traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
Three people were injured in this accident 18 year old Hailey J. Davis of Clinton, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and transported to Forensic Midwest.
Two other people sustained serious injuries in this accident 19 year old Taylor M. Busick and 26 year old Stormey R. Stover both of Clinton Missouri, both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by J's Southland Tow.

Obituary - Ruth Marian Curry
Ruth Marian Curry, 96, La Cygne, Kansas went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1924 the daughter of Charles A. and Greeta Gove Lee in Springfield, Vermont. Her family moved to Chicago in 1929 where she went to school with Steve Allen and graduated with Mel Torme. Shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Howard Curry.
They married October 7, 1942 a union that lasted seventy-two years. To this union six children were born, Joy Quinoes, Julia Fisher, Janet Davis(Andy), Bob Curry(Paulette), Bill Curry(Joy), Bud Curry(M'Liss), nineteen grandchildren, forty-five great grand children and twenty-four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill Lee, sister, Gwyneth Loncahr, husband Howard Curry, daughter Joy Quinoes and granddaughter, Kathy Dougherty. Ruth was very active in the Calvary Baptist Church as a song leader, starting the pantry, Ruth Circle and Broadway Cafe.
She enjoyed crocheting and crafts and cooked many turkey steaks for football and basketball teams that Howard coached. The players still talk about those turkey steaks. Ruth will be remembered for always being happy with a smile on her face. She was quite the wonderful lady and will be missed very much by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Calvary Baptist Church. Mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Individual respects and guest registry can be made from 9 am to 6 pm Thursday, February 4 followed by visitation from 6 to 8 pm at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Contributions are suggested to St Jude Children's Hospital, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, La Cygne, Kansas 66040. Tina Mae Groves, 58 of Nevada passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin following a brief illness. Tina was born June 21, 1962 in Denver, CO to Denver R. and Diana R. (Bybee) Allen.
Tina was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School. Throughout her life, Tina was primarily a homemaker. She attended Rinehart Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Groves, of the home; two children, Renee Brooks (Kevin), Hume, and Jason Litten, Nevada; six grandchildren, Thomas Brooks, Colton Brooks, Chevy Brooks, Willow Litten, Jason Litten, Jr., and Conner Litten; two brothers, John Watts, Nevada, and Terry Lawson (Hazel), Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert Lawson.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Kevin Moyer officiating. A private burial will follow will in Click Cemetery in Nevada.
Memorials are suggested to the Family in c/o Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. MO.
