Butler Senior Ostin Van Voorst is signing today with Graceland University

Ostin Van Voorst is signing today with Graceland University.
Ostin plans to major in Physical Therapy and minor in coaching and secondary education. Throughout his four years of high school wrestling, Ostin has a wrestling record of 137-44.
He is a three time conference champion, placed 5th in the Battle of the Katy Trail last year, has finished districts in third place and this year took first in districts as well as sectionals.

Obituary - Donald Ray King
Donald Ray King, 87, Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by love and family.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Cheryl Kelly and husband Jim, Harrisonville, Missouri, Donna Parks and husband Robert, Rockville, Missouri, Lori Higgs and husband Gary and Carmen King all of Harrisonville, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial with Military Honors in the Byler Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Independence, Missouri.
Family requests that mask be worn and practice social distance protocol while attending the visitation and service.

Arthur “Art” Spencer, 82, Lee’s Summit, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and Masonic Services at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow in Peculiar Cemetery in Peculiar, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association.

Obituary - Donald Clark Williams
Donald Clark Williams, 81, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was born in Fairmont, MN on November 28, 1939 to parents, Russell and Fern (Huhn) Williams. He was baptized on April 18, 1946. His family moved to El Dorado Springs when he was in the 6th grade and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1958.
He joined the Army in 1962, served in South Korea 13 months, and was honorably discharged in 1964. Don married Bonnie (Poppe) on October 12, 1970.
They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Don, or “Doc” as he was known by his coworkers, retired from 3M in Nevada, MO in 2000 after 29 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He loved his family farm, living in the country, and tending to the animals, most of which he treated as pets.
Don is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma Hadley. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; brother-in-law: Delmar Hadley; three daughters: Sondra Jackson (Chuck), Rhonda Jones (James), and Tracy Hackett (Joe Don); eight grandchildren: Kameron Carroll (Robert), Taylor Jackson, Josiah Jones, Aaron Jones (Micaela), Shoshanna Kaufmann (Nathaniel), Michael Jones, Charity Jones, and Moriah Fowler (Tim) and numerous nieces, nephews, and twelve great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and this loss of life will be felt forever.

Obituary - Gina Resz
Gina Resz, 49 of Butler, Missouri passed away February 20, 2021 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009).
Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm Wednesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.
