Obituary - Sonja E. (Stewart) Kyral Utter

Sonja E. (Stewart) Kyral Utter, 79, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday evening, July 25, 2021 at her home. She was born January 3, 1942 in Pacific Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Walter Stewart and Mary Susie (Etherington) Stewart.
She married Raymond James Kyral. They later divorced. She then married Winton S. “Ben” Utter. He survives of the home. Sonja was employed as a supervisor with Sears for many years. She was a member of the Catholic faith, enjoyed baking, cooking gardening and loved to sew. In addition to her husband, surviving are two sons, Raymond Dale Kyral, Jr., and wife Charlyne, Tempe, Arizona, and Danny James Kyral and wife Michelle, Harlingen, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Lynn Kyral Fiest and husband Pete, Clinton, Mo.; five grandchildren, Danielle Kyral, San Antonio, Tx., Shane Kyral and wife Caressie, Harlingen, Tx., Devin Kyral, Harlingen, Tx., Allison Kyral, San Antonio, Tx., and Morgan Fiest, Clinton, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Andrea, Brownsville, Tx.; two brothers, Walter Robert Stewart, Pacific Junction, Ia., and Donny Stewart, Glenwood, Ia.; one sister, Dorothy Jean Leaver, Bates City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Betty Lou Beam Stewart and Roberta Stewart. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions to Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor (C.A.R.E.), or Wayside Waifs. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.

Beginning, Monday, August 2nd, Asplundh crews will begin trimming trees within the power line right-of-way in Rich Hill.

While we know this can cause concerns for residents, please know this process is necessary to increase the safety and reliability of your power supply.

Please use caution when near the working crews and allow them to be able work safely throughout town.

Welcome to the family!

Help us welcome Shelby Glasscock to the Clinton School District! Shelby will be the guidance counselor at Henry Elementary and the head middle school track coach this school year.

Shelby, who is originally from Urich, MO, received a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling from Southwest Baptist University, as well as a master's degree in Counseling from the University of Central Missouri. Shelby has served as a guidance counselor in the Montrose and Calhoun School Districts.

Shelby and her husband, Wade, recently celebrated four years of marriage. Wade is employed with the Clinton Fire Department. They have four dogs that they enjoy playing with outside. Shelby loves hiking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, gardening, playing with her niece and spending time with her family.

"I am excited to work in the Clinton School District because living in this community for the past four years has shown me how awesome and supportive Clinton is. I look forward to building relationships with my students and coworkers and making a home in the district."

Obituary - Bobbi Gaston

Funeral services for Bobbi Gaston of Archie, Missouri will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 4 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to services from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at Schowengerdt Chapel.

Bobbi Berniece Gaston, age 71 of Archie, Missouri died Monday, July 26, 2021 in Archie. She was born March 25, 1950 to Robert Lester and Lydia Berniece Arnold McCall in Butler, Missouri.

Bobbi is survived by one son, Tracey Gaston and wife Cheryl of Denton, Texas; one daughter, Stacia Gaston of Denton, Texas; one sister, Patty Allen of Butler, Missouri; three grandchildren, Katrina, Billy and Ashleigh; several nephews and nieces; and beloved pet, Dusty. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Sharon Horner, Linda Tanner and Doris Tanner.
