Former State Senator Ed Emery passes away

WITH SYMPATHY:

On behalf of the Henry County Republican Central Committee, the Henry County Republican Club officers and members, It is with profound sadness we have learned this morning of the passing of our Former State Senator and Friend, Ed Emery.

Senator Emery was with us here in Henry County just last month speaking at HCRC about his bid for U.S. Congress and his hope for our nation.

Ed Emery served for eight years as State Representative for his home district and served eight years as our State Senator in the 31st Senatorial District and was with us on many occasions and served us honorably in the State Legislature.

A true gentleman of the old order, always gracious, a statesman, passionate about the Constitution and the Bible and the greatness of our country.

Ed Emery was speaking at a political event in Moberly on Tuesday evening where he collapsed during his speech and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia, MO where he passed away.

We honor his service and his life and give thanks for the opportunity we had to know him and to learn from him.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family during this time of great loss.

Please keep the Emery Family in your prayers
Daniel P. Wilson-Henry County Republican Central Committee Chairman J. Scott Brooks-Henry County Republican Club President
