Carmen Behringer for Butler City Council Ward 4

Hi! My name is Carmen Behringer, and I am seeking to fill the office of City Council in Ward 4. My husband, Mike, and I have lived in Butler since the summer of 2013. I was born and raised in a rural area outside of Butler and graduated in 1985 as Carmen Kauffman.

I am currently a teacher at Butler High School for the last 20 years. My husband is the Director of Respiratory and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Bates County Memorial Hospital.

My husband and I have four children and several grandchildren. My youngest son graduated from Butler in 2017. For several years, he worked for the city as a lifeguard.

In the past few years, I have had the pleasure of being on the Promotions Committee for the city. This past summer, I took part in helping paint the beautiful mural found in the alley north of the square. My husband and I enjoy taking part in the Christmas Decorating Contest.

I am looking for the opportunity to serve on the City Council and represent the residents of Ward 4. Your vote is appreciated.
