From the Barton County Sheriff's Office

*ATTENTION*
Farmers in the Barton County area. We have recently taken a theft of copper wire on an irrigation system in rural Barton County.

Jasper County has also taken some similar reports as well. If you have game cameras or any way to monitor your irrigation systems please do!

Right now the price of copper is up which means the thefts will rise as well. Please be diligent and watch for suspicious activity in your area. A license plate, color, make and model of any vehicle will be a huge help in our investigation.
