Obituary - Timothy Allen Norman

Timothy Allen Norman, age 55, loving husband to Judy, loving father of five, loving grandfather to 10, and loving great grandfather to 2, entered the gates of Heaven on May 4, 2022, after a courageous battle with lung/esophageal cancer. Tim was a loving and caring man, always giving his time to others, and he tried to incorporate that into his everyday life as a great servant of the Lord.

Tim was born in El Dorado Springs, MO to Monte and Nina Norman (who preceded him in death in 1993) in 1967. Tim graduated from Osceola High School in 1985. He grew up on a farm just east of town. His large family consisted of 4 siblings, Dulce, Mike, Kim and Becky and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In 1987 he married the love of his life, Judy and took on the pleasure of being a dad to 3 kids, Melisa, Joseph, and Jennifer. To this union Ashley and Megan were born.

Tim made the focus of his time being a dad, to which he took great pride in. He was great at doing anything that included hanging drywall, carpentry, painting, installing gutter or his favorite laying down cement for driveways at times. He had many traits and did each of them well. He was loved by many and through his work he loved to tell the story of how gracious and wonderful his Lord was. There were never many times when he didn’t talk to others about the how gracious his Lord had been to him. The testimonies he shared, he shared with great pride. He was excited to tell others about the love of God and what he had done for him. His goal was to tell others about Jesus so that it would lead them to the Lord. Cooking, baking, and mushroom hunting were on the top of his list of favorite things to do. There were never many times, if any, where you did not see him in the kitchen cooking something up. Whether it be a new recipe, an old one or one he would just throw things together and have a new favorite meal, cooking was his favorite.

Pastor James Coleman introduced Tim to the Lord at a young age when he would attend Blue Ridge. Later in life as an adult Tim and his family started to attend Blue Ridge Church. Tim later attended Church of God Holiness where he rededicated himself to the lord. He attended there up until the time his sickness made it where he was unable to.

As we mourn the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and cousin we rest assure that he is in the loving arms of our Lord waiting for our return.
