Electric City Speedway 1st Annual Gene Timmerman Memorial Race

On Sunday, May 29th, Electric City Speedway presented by Family Center Farm and Home is proud to bring you the first annual Gene Timmerman memorial presented by Asphalt Sealcoating and Striping!

Late models will be racing for $2000 to win $200 to start next Sunday! This will be an open late model show. We are excited to be able to honor this amazing individual with this race.

Gene was a great man that almost always had a smile on his face. He was always ready and willing to lend a hand and help out a fellow racer or friend. Even when life threw him a curve ball he took it in stride and kept that smile on his face and joy in his heart. Over the years Gene owned cars that many area racers had the privilege to drive.

The Show-Me Vintage Racing Series will be with us as well on the 29th. These guys and gals always have beautiful cars and put on a great show. The yesteryear look of these cars always brings back memories of the good old days of racing when a guy could pull the glass out, build a cage and go racing.

POWRi Midwest Mods and Pure Stocks will be racing for added money. See the photo for payout. You guys have consistently showed up every night in force so we’re showing our appreciation. We will be mixing things up a bit for you guys as well. We will roll a dice to see how many cars, 1-6 will be inverted for the feature.

USRA Bmods, USRA Stock Cars, and Tuners will also be in action. After talking with some guys last night, the Super Stocks will have the night off due to another special close by. Thanks to the guys from Monett Speedway who have given $200 to be added for the Bmods. We’ve talked it over and we will give $50 each to the fastest lap in the feature, $50 for the hard charger in the feature, and $50 each to two random spots that will be drawn for in the feature.

We will NOT be racing Friday night the 27th due to the Show-Me 100. We’re looking forward to an awesome night of racing next Sunday! We appreciate each and everyone of our drivers and fans! Without all of you this isn’t possible!

We will continue to strive to make improvements each and every week! We look forward to seeing you all at the track!
