On May 28th around 7:40 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with the Butler Police Department and Bates County EMS responded to a one vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-49 at mile marker 127.2 in rural Butler.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2019 Volvo driven by 33 year old Triveon M. Crawford of Houston, Texas traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Mr. Crawford sustained minor injuries and was transported by Bates County EMS to the Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The Volvo was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by J's Southland Tow.
On May 28th around 6:00 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County along with St. Clair County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle fatality accident involving a motorcycle on Missouri 13 Highway around 2 miles north of Collins, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2015 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 63 year old Terry M. Hirschy of Collins, Missouri attempted to cross the northbound lanes of Missouri 13 and turned into the path of the 2018 Ford F-150 driven by 72 year old William J. Orfield of Athens, Alabama.
Mr. Hirschy was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and his body was transported to Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola.

On May 27th the Bates County Sheriff's Office arrested 35 year old Brilena Wyn McGlochlin of Rich Hill, Missouri.
She was arrested for the following charges:
1.) Endangering the welfare of a child creating a substantial risk - 1st Degree- 1st Offense - No sexual contact.
2.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia
3.) Possession of a controlled substance - Except 35 grams or less of synthetic marijuana.
Brilena Wyn McGlochlin was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and she is currently listed as bondable.
