Scattered Showers & T-Storms Today

Good morning, we should start to dry out today across the region, but lingering showers will remain possible for those south of the Missouri River through the afternoon, but nothing like we saw the last day and half. Cooler today, with a steady warm up into the upper 70s by Friday and Saturday.

Obituary - Peggy Ann Motley

Peggy Ann Motley, age 86, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Adair Village in Clinton, Missouri. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton, Missouri with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial to follow in the Parks Chapel Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri.

Peggy Ann Motley was born on July 2, 1935 in Henry County Missouri to John and Marjorie (Goucher) Parks.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents John and Marjorie Parks, three children, Mic Motley, Dana Morse, and Stella Bley.

She is survived by her four children, Rick Motley, Mike Motley, Kay Johnson, and Michael Morse, several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.

Echo Lloyd is still missing from Benton County

MISSING IN MISSOURI

Echo Michelle Lloyd (aka Echo White Lloyd) was last seen at 30617 Stag Drive Edwards, Missouri on Thursday, May 14th, 2020. Her vehicle and purse were still at her home.

One arrested on multiple warrants in Bates County

On May 31st around 9:39 p.m. the Bates County Sheriff's Office arrested 40 year old Lawrence Leif Stewart of Windsor, Missouri.

Mr. Stewart was arrested for multiple failure to appear in court warrants for the following charges:

1.) Driving while revoked or suspended -1st Offense
2.) Non Child Support - Excess of 12 monthly payments due under the order of the support
3.) Possession of Marijuana/ Cannabis except 35 grams or less (X2)
4.) Failure to drive on the right half of the roadway
5.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia (X2)

Lawrence Leif Stewart was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and he is currently listed as bondable.

One vehicle accident in Cass County

On June 1st around 5:54 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a one vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-49 just south of North Cass Parkway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a unknown vehicle cut off the 1998 Ford Mustang driven by 34 year old Cody Schooler of Pleasant Hill, Missouri causing his vehicle to run off the left side of the roadway and strike a concrete barrier.

Mr. Schooler sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene of this accident.
