Obituary - Lloyd Oliver Hall, Jr.

Lloyd Oliver Hall, Jr., 75, of Archie, MO passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Life Care Center of Grandview. 

Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.

Obituary - Dorothy Ann Swartz

Dorothy Ann Swartz, 87, of Peculiar, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at her home. 

Visitation will be on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, with a rosary at 7:30 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. 

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, MO. 

Graveside services will be on June 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Boniface Cemetery in Scipio, Kansas.

Henry County Health Center purchases new land to build new facility

Clinton, MO, June 1, 2022– Henry County Health Center (HCHC) is pleased to announce that they have purchased a lot of land located at 111 N. Third Street, Clinton MO for their new facility. The new HCHC facility will face Third Street with an entrance off of Green street and Third.
 
“With the new Health Center location near the downtown square, HCHC will be better equipped to meet the needs of the citizens of Henry County and to address the needs identified by the citizens in surveys and the annual Community Needs Assessment,” said the Henry County Health Center Administrator, Peggy Bowles. “With the new facility, HCHC is planning to expand services and offer additional outreach programs that will assist all Henry County residents based on the feedback received from the community.
 
This endeavor is possible due, in part, to the fiscal management and investments of current and past HCHC board members”
 
This is one more way that Henry County Health Center strives to fulfill our mission statement, “To protect the health and promote the wellness of the community.”

Power back on in Harrisonville

POWER OUTAGE: Staff have been notified of a power outage affecting several residents in the center of town.

City of Harrisonville Electric Crews have been sent to the affected areas and are working quickly to restore power.

We appreciate your patience during this time. We will update this post as we get more information.

UPDATE: All power has been restored to the affected areas. We are grateful that those living in that area did not have to go without power for very long.
