Busy weekend for the Fort Scott Kansas Fire Department

Hottest day of the year doesn’t stop us.

Fort Scott Fire Department was dispatch to a report of a structure fire on the east side of town.

When we arrived on scene smoke was showing. Crews made an interior attack and managed to evacuate a resident from the structure. Crews quickly knocked the fire down before major damage could occur.

Over the last 24 hours FSFD has responded to 23 calls for service! To say they have been busy is an understatement.

Big thanks to the sheriffs office Trey Sharp for assisting with the investigations. Fort Scott Police department for assisting the guys with the hydrant line.
