Updated Obituary - Rosemary Reightley

Rosemary Reightley, 83, of Adrian, MO, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. 

Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. Interment will follow at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian. Contributions can made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Rosemary was born May 28, 1939 to Louis and Mary (Cleary) Reightley in Monrovia, CA. She was born and raised in California and after attending school, she was employed at Lordel Manufacturing. After 50 years of living in California, she made her move to Adrian where she resided for the last 30 years. She spent close to 10 years employed at the Adrian Manor, where she was able to meet and impact the lives of many people. Rosemary loved spending time with her family and loved ones. She also really enjoyed drawing and painting when she had the time.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lowell "Bill" Reightley; and sister, Doris "Louise" Kraus. She is survived by her sons: Daniel (Heather) Reightley and Alan Douty; daughters: Edith (Travis) Stradley and April (Mike) Miller; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Howard Reightley; and sister, Susan Grace Reightley.

Basement fire in Cass County

Late Saturday afternoon June 25th the Central Cass County Fire Protection District responded to a fire in the basement of a residence.

The crews made a good stop for the conditions on arrival.

Thank you to our mutual aid assistance, Harrisonville, West Peculiar, Pleasant Hill, South Metro, and Belton Fire. Many resources are needed on these hot summer days.

Obituary - Evelyn Faye Warden

Evelyn Faye Warden, age 83, of Peculiar, Missouri passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her husband on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral at 3:00 p.m. Evelyn will then be laid to rest at Raymore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Contend Campaign for children c/o Fellowship Church, 116 South Washing St. Raymore, Missouri 64083.
