The Clinton School District is happy to announce the selection of Sarah Armon as the new Head Girls Tennis Coach for Clinton High School.

For the past two years, Coach Armon has taught in the Social Studies department at Clinton High School, and has been the CHS boys and girls assistant tennis coach. Sarah also has previous experience coaching soccer, cross country and track.

In high school, Coach Armon was a multi-sport athlete, playing varsity tennis, soccer, running cross country, and was a member of the school’s swim team. Sarah began playing tennis at a young age and would play in tournaments in the summer in multiple cities.

Ms. Armon attended Colorado State University and has a degree in History and a Social Studies and Language Arts Concentration in Teaching degree. She is also attending Grand Canyon University to earn her Master’s in Educational Leadership degree.

In her free time, Coach Armon enjoys spending time with her children, boyfriend and pets. She loves being outdoors, when the weather permits, but also enjoys a good book or movie. Sarah is excited for the upcoming tennis season, “I am really looking forward to growing the tennis program and molding student-athletes that continue the love of tennis for a lifetime.”

“One area of focus that I really want to press on in the Activities Department this year is mental toughness and GRIT,” says Alex Johnson, Activities Director. “I bring this up because Coach Armon is someone who I know I will learn from this year in this area. Additionally, she knows the tennis girls very well and I’m confident her previous experience and personal connection with the program she is now entrusted to, will continue to grow an already strong culture.

I’m excited to continue the work with Coach Armon and I’m grateful that we could hire from within the district for this position. Congratulations, coach!”
