Self inflicted gunshot wound sparks drug trafficking investigation in Clinton
On Sunday, 08/21/2022, Clinton Police Officers were advised of a possible self inflicted gunshot wound victim that had been transported to the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Emergency Department by private vehicle.
The incident apparently began at a residence in the 200 Block of East Oak Street.
During the initial investigation, a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine was found in the possession of the gunshot wound victim, which sparked a search warrant service at the original residence.
That search yielded additional evidence of suspected drug activity as well as possible weapon violations. The investigation is ongoing and no one has been formally charged yet.
