Butler Bears look to stay undefeated as they host the Fort Scott Tigers

The undefeated Butler Bears will host the Fort Scott Tigers on Friday September 9th in a non- conference battle starting at 7pm.

The Bears are coming off a dominate home opener win over the Sherwood Marksmen 50-13.

Butler will face another big challenge facing a very physical Fort Scott team out of Kansas who is coming off a 28-6 loss to the Paola Panthers last Friday.

Introducing your 2023 Bates County, MO Little Miss US Agriculture, Briley Mason!

Hello everyone! My name is Briley Mason. I am the 7 year old daughter of Myles and Kelsey Mason of Butler, Missouri.

This year I am in second grade at Butler, Elementary. In my free time you can find me participating in 4-H events, fishing, reading, playing with my dolls, playing outside, shopping, helping my parents with chores, and spending time with friends and family. Although this is a new journey for me, I am so excited to be a part of this amazing organization.

My love for agriculture began at just a young age. A baby to be exact. At a few days old my parents had me out in my Papa’s show pig operation learning the ropes and getting me familiar with the pigs. But my love for pigs didn’t Last. It wasn’t until I began 4-H this last year, that my love for sheep formed. I enjoy showing lambs at a competitive level.

My parents travel many miles to take me to shows. I had a very successful first year. I have learned many new techniques and have improved tremendously.

One of my biggest accomplishments this year was winning Reserve grand champion breeding ewe, 4th overall breeding ewe and champion beginner showman at the county fair.

I am so excited to represent my county and spread the word to everyone I know about the agriculture industry."

Congratulations and welcome Miss Briley! We are excited to see you grow your agricultural story! Join her by registering at agherculture.com/Missouri
