Yet another tough challenge this Friday for the Rich Hill Tigers
The Rich Hill Tigers will host the undefeated Archie Whirlwinds this Friday Night September 9th in high school football action.
The young tigers are looking to pick up their first win of the season as they are coming off a 48-14 loss to the Jasper Eagles.

This will be a tough test for Rich Hill as Archie was picked to be a contender and challenge Drexel this year for a conference championship.
Archie hosted Appleton City last Thursday night in a conference game and they beat the bulldogs 54-16.

Tabatha Biggs, age 33, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at her home in Clinton, Missouri.

Kansas City man arrested in Bates County
On September 4th around 7:33 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 45 year old Andre E. Bruce of Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. Bruce was arrested for 1.) Felony Jackson County Sheriff's Office Warrant - Possession of a Controlled Substance 2.) Failure to display valid license plates 3.) Failure to affix front license plates.
Andre E. Bruce was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and he is currently being held on a $6,000 cash only bond.

Shooting Investigation in Butler
Around 12:30 a.m. this morning the Butler Police Department along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies and Bates County EMS responded to a report of a male that was shot after a altercation near the 600 block of West Harrison Street in Butler.
After the male was shot he left the scene of the shooting and was found a short time later at a residence on the 600 block of Dakoda Street.
The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment for his non -- life threating injuries and one suspect was arrested a short time later without incident.
This is a ongoing investigation and we will update when more information is made available to us.

Obituary - Elsey L. Robb
Elsey L. Robb, 90, of Raytown, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Foxwood Springs in Raymore, MO. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Foxwood Springs.
Elsey was born January 23, 1932 in Warrensburg, MO, a daughter of Curtis Clayton and Zelfey Elizabeth (Waltz) Conard. Elsey had lived in Cole Camp, Nevada, and Harwood, MO, before moving to Harrisonville where she lived for 18 years before moving to Raymore.

She worked several different jobs throughout her life, but primarily worked as a custodian at the State Hospital in Nevada. She was more of what one would consider as a loner, although she enjoyed crocheting, word finds and sewing. She loved the staff and residents at Foxwood Springs during her time there and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Elsey was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joseph Conard; two sons: Randy Robb and Clayton Robb; and one grandson, Zachary Robb. She is survived by one son, John Robb and his wife, Kathy; one sister, Marget Looney; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Undefeated Drexel Bobcats travel to Appleton City Friday night
On Friday Night September 9th the Drexel Bobcats will hit the road to Appleton City to face the bulldogs starting at 7pm.
The Bobcats are coming off a huge win 86-57 over the Lockwood Tigers in the home opener Friday night.
Drexel Senior QB Jacob Coffey dominated the tigers on the ground and in the air with 300 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns and passing for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Appleton City Bulldogs (1-1) was beat Friday night by the Archie Whirlwinds 54-16 and will be looking to get back on the winning track.
