It's Pink & Jeans Friday at BCMH!

It's Pink & Jeans Friday at BCMH! Employees were invited to donate to the BCMH Cares Mammogram Fund for the privilege of wearing jeans to work every Friday this month.

Here's the HIM Department who also purchased a BCMH Cares t-shirt in support of the Cares Fund, which goes to help uninsured women in our community to receive screening mammograms. Screening mammograms help find breast cancer in early stages, which was the case for Kristi Gaylord, who recently shared her story with us.

Kristi is pictured here with her coworkers (she's wearing the crown) - read her story here: https://www.bcmhospital.com/patient-stories-kristi-gaylord/

State Farm Student athlete of the week

We are very excited to announce this week’s State Farm Student Athlete of the week junior, Dylan Davidson. Dylan plays quarterback and safety for the Butler Bears. Dylan was nominated by his Head Coach Gregg Webb. Coach Webb nominated Dylan after a great game against a tough Buffalo team last week. Dylan rushed for 174 yards on 15 carries and was 6 for 9 passing for 87 yards. He also had 12 tackles.

We asked Dylan how does being an athlete make you a better person and he stated “it teaches you life lessons like the more you put into something the more you get out.” We also asked him what are some goals you are hoping to accomplish before the season is over and he stated “we want to win districts and go to state.” When we asked him why he is so passionate about playing sports he stated “he has grown up playing and fell in love with the sport. He likes to win and be a leader.”

We asked Dylan what it takes to become an elite athlete he stated “working when everyone isn’t and working when no one sees it. It takes lots of extra time, training and putting in the extra work. You have to lead by example.” This one was extra special for this Mom. We wish the Bears the best of luck tonight as they play Warsaw at home.
