Clarification regarding solar farm news release

Earlier this week we reported that company NextEra is proposing a solar farm in the Amsterdam area, in which we incorrectly stated the end of life for the LaCygne power plant to come within 5 years; that estimate should have been 10 years as Evergy has previously stated they would not consider shutting down before 2032.

Our apologies for any confusion and we will continue to reach out to Evergy for comment regarding this matter.

Happy Retirement Sandra!

Congratulations to Sandra Cameron, who retired on October 31 after 13 years with Bates County Memorial Hospital.

Sandra was initially hired as a receptionist for High Street Family Care Clinic, and within a year she transferred to Outpatient Specialty Clinic admitting where she remained for the rest of her career with BCMH.

Sandra demonstrated professionalism and kindness to all, and will be missed. Sandra was honored at a retirement party with the Outpatient Specialty Clinic department and was presented with a clock by Greg Weaver, Chief Executive Officer. Happy Retirement, Sandra!
