Obituary - Kathryn Elaine "Kathy" Newcome

Kathryn Elaine "Kathy" Newcome passed away Thursday December 1, 2022. She was born in Olathe, Kansas on March 14, 1959 the daughter of Russell and Phoebe Marie Burt Clay. 

Kathy was united in marriage to Donald Newcome on December 6, 1975 in DeSoto, Kansas. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant for over twenty years in home health and nursing home care. More important, she was a homemaker and "Nana".

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She also was an accomplished shopper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Russell Newcome, a daughter, Julie Ann Newcome, a grandson, Dalton, two brothers, Russell Clay Jr., and Marvin Clay, and two sisters, Patricia Hooper and Diana Kessler. Kathy is survived by her husband, Don, a daughter, Denna Moore, a brother, David Clay, three grandchildren, Kaitlynn(Bryan), Elizabeth, and Benjamin(Katelynn), and seven great grandchildren, Jayden, Kensley, Emeralld, Avah, Lucas, Noah, and Brantley.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 pm to service time at the Pleasanton Chapel.

Lowry City man arrested on child molestation charges

On Wednesday November 23rd the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office arrested 57 year old William Buckler of Lowry City, Missouri.

Mr. Buckler was arrested for 1.) Nine counts of first degree child molestation. 

Buckler is currently being held in St. Clair County Jail in Osceola without bond.

Obituary - Charleene "Charlie" Bridges Bradley

Charleene "Charlie" Bridges Bradley age 93 of Overland Park, Kansas departed this life Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Morningside Place in Overland Park, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and may be sent in care of Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Adrian State Championship Football Team Send Off Information:

If you plan to come up and send off the Adrian football team at 1:15pm please park on the north side of the Adrian High School around 7th street.

Dismissal will be occurring at 1:30pm and we would like to not interfere with the south side pick up line.

The charter bus will be leaving the parking lot and turning right towards Casey’s and going over the bridge to I-49.
