When Larry was not working on the farm, he liked spending time on his antique tractors and was a part of the Western Missouri Antique Tractor Association. Larry was also a member of the Amsterdam Masonic Lodge No. 141 for 57 years.
Taking ranger rides were a favorite pastime of Larry's as he would drive around and see the neighbors and it was said he rarely, if ever, forgot who lived on what properties even years after they no longer lived there. The thing that Larry loved most was spending time with his sons and then later his grandchildren.
