Nichols takes first place in the 800m at the WEMO Conference track meet

We would like to congratulate Drexel freshman track athlete Kolbi Nichols who took first place in the 800m at the WEMO Conference track meet in Osceola.
Kolbi also broke his personal best time as he ran a 2:07. Way to go Kolbi!

Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant William W. “Bill” Lowe Retires After Over 27 Years Of Service
Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces the following retirement effective May 1, 2023:
Sergeant William W. “Bill” Lowe, Troop A public information officer, retired after 27 years, 10 months of dedicated service.
Sgt. Lowe, formerly of St. Joseph, MO, was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1995, as a member of the 70th Recruit Class. After completing training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, St. Louis, serving Franklin County. He was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 11, Franklin County, in February 2007. On October 4, 2009, he transferred to Troop A, Lee’s Summit, to serve as a public information officer. He was promoted to sergeant on May 1, 2010.
Lowe graduated from Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, MO, in 1987. Lowe earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Missouri State University, in Springfield in 1993. He earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area Community College in 1995. He completed the Leadership in Police Organizations course in 2015, and later served as an instructor for the course. Sgt. Lowe is married to Jennifer (Carlson), and they have two grown children, Cameron and Avery.

Obituary - Marvin Ray Crust
Marvin Ray Crust age 37 of Creighton, Missouri departed this life Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Cremation with a Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date.

Arrests and Reports
(Osceola, Missouri) - St. Clair County Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of April 25, 2023 through May 1, 2023
On April 25, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to North Holly Street in Appleton City for a suicidal subject. Deputies were able to help the subject get some medical help.
On April 26, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to East 5th Street in Lowry City for a gunshot wound. Subject was transported to Cox South Hospital.
On April 26, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Northeast 101 Road in Osceola for a domestic disturbance. Suspect was gone by the time deputies arrived on scene. Suspect called in and stated he would be at the Sheriff's Office on April 27th.
On April 27, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Northwest Highway 52 in regards to property damage. The substation had been shot several times.
On April 27, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies received a call for harassment on Northeast 351 Road. Information was taken and investigation is ongoing.
On April 28, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to SW 600 Rd for a violation to a protection order.
On April 28, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies received a call in Appleton City regarding a violation of an ex parte order.
On April 28, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to SE Highway WW for domestic disturbance. Subject was trespassed from the property.
On April 29, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to 18th Street in Collins for a report of a deceased person. Barbara Tilley was pronounced dead.
On April 29, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to NE Highway 13 in reference to property damage. Suspect is wanted for questioning.
On April 29, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to E 4th Street in Appleton City for physical assault. Brandy Garrison was arrested and transported to St. Clair County jail for a book and release. Brandy is being charged with Assault- 3rd Degree.
On April 30, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to SE Highway TT in regards to stolen property. Items stolen were a White 2008 Polaris 900 Ranger and a Dolittle 12 foot tandem trailer.
On May 1, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at 52 Highway and P Highway in Appleton City. Curtis Lawson was arrested on a Clay County warrant for Driving While Revoked/Suspended- 2nd or 3rd Offense. Curtis bonded out of St. Clair County.
On May 1, 2023- St. Clair Deputies responded to 102 Goodrich Drive in Osceola for a report of vandalism. Pictures were taken of the vandalism and the owner filed a report.
