Rural Adrian Sex offender arrested after using social media to entice children

On 8/9/23 the Bates County Sheriffs Office received a call in reference to a currently registered sex offender, Harold Davin Hubbard, using social media platforms to contact a juvenile and attempting to entice that juvenile into sexual contact. This contact began in July of 2023 and continued on for several weeks.

Later that night on 8/9/23 Davin Hubbard was taken into custody at his fathers residence on county road 7501 in rural Adrian on an outstanding warrant issued the day prior. Bond on that warrant was set at $50,000 cash only.

On 8/11/23 additional charges were filed on Hubbard for the following. 2 counts of Enticement of a minor child, 4 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

During the investigation we identified multiple potential victims. If your child has been exposed to or received messages from Hubbard, we encourage you to come forward and contact a Detective.

This is also a good reminder to have a conversation with your children about online and social media safety.

Davin Hubbard remains in the custody of the Bates County Jail on a combined total bond of $150,000 cash bond.
